India are the World Champions and deservedly. You know why, because India played against almost all the regular (read Test Playing) nations in this World Cup, except NewZealand whom we beat in the Exhibition match before the start of the World Cup. I don’t want to analyze this World Cup and come up with statistical crap. I am sure there are better posts out there with all that info. So,I will just end it with a message for everyone I can think of.

@Sachin… As Kohli astutely put it “He has been carrying the burden of the nation for 21 years, its about time we carried him”.  Nobody deserves this more than yourself. Thanks for all the memories.

@Dhoni… T20 Champions, IPL Champions, T20 Champions League Winners, Tests Champions and now the World Champions. Luck, Fate, Genius, Coolness Quotient, Grit, Determination, Great Team, Talent ? whatever anybody wants to call it, but Hats off to you mate… And I think, it can be called Luck ,only if its done just once. I was thinking after the first two wickets, we may have to say,as usual, “Our batsmen didn’t bowl well, Our bowlers didn’t bat well and Our wicketkeeper didn’t field well..” But not this time, Hats off to you again.

There are a lot of things that I dont understand in Love stories. But, what I completely do not understand is the climax. Why is it that, it is utterly important that the ‘Simrans’  should catch the particular train or else ? I mean, what is going to happen if the train leaves ? Why can’t the Rajs of the world pull the chain, or get down at the next station and come back ? And just in case, you are not able to catch the train/bus/flight, then why dont you simply call the person and declare your love and ask him/her to come back ? Or why not catch the next flight/train/bus ?  Its not as if the love of their lives is going to the Moon and not come back for the next 50 years, right ?

Oh well, Whadayaknow ? Maybe the urgency is because, the movie is about to end. You see, It is the climax afterall.

The three people, whom I totally admire for their confidence.  People might say that they are outspoken or maybe  arrogant even, but NO. What they speak and what they do, is not because of their lack of respect for others.  Its simply because of their confidence in themselves. I understand if you dont understand.

Our little group,’OMFC’ as we proudly call it, is one of a kind.

In the sense, it didn’t matter, if the economy was going up or down. It didn’t matter if we started every single day asking ourselves, if we might still be having this job tomorrow. It didn’t even matter if the girl sitting next to our seats didn’t give us a second glance. No wait, THAT acutally did matter.

The point is,  no matter what happened, we always managed to keep finding something to laugh at, and if nothing, we used to make fun at ourselves. Its not as if, we were not worried. It was just that, we didn’t believe anything could possibly go wrong.

I miss those 7th Floor Gossips, I miss having lunch with 9 people on one table,I miss the Nayar kadai bajjis,I miss those “Voluntary” Birthday treats,I terribly miss the Madhu room parties, I miss the potti kadai puffs, I miss those TT matches in the evenings, I miss the six-pack gym sessions, I miss the weekend trip to TopSlip, I miss the Lift which stops on every floor on the way up, I miss the canteen laughter, I miss the library used to book movie tickets, I miss putting rank to the Top-3 girls in the building, I miss getting those 30 chain mails just because Madhu’s best feature was “Lips”, I miss Thalai’s philosophy, I miss the Microsoft Communicator chats, I miss the Friday-Fundoos…………….

What happened now, you ask ? Just that Life caught up with us. ..
