If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best.

And how….., First Australia, then Pakistan and now Sri Lanka. India are the World Champions and deservedly. You know why, because India played against almost all the regular (read Test Playing) nations in this World Cup, except NewZealand whom we beat in the Exhibition match before the start of the World Cup. I don’t want to analyze this World Cup and come up with statistical crap. I am sure there are better posts out there with all that info. So,I will just end it with a message for everyone I can think of.

@Sachin… As Kohli astutely put it “He has been carrying the burden of the nation for 21 years, its about time we carried him”. Nobody deserves this more than yourself. Thanks for all the memories.

@Dhoni… T20 Champions, IPL Champions, T20 Champions League Winners, Tests Champions and now the World Champions. Luck, Fate, Genius, Coolness Quotient, Grit, Determination, Great Team, Talent ? whatever anybody wants to call it, but Hats off to you mate… And I think, it can be called Luck ,only if its done just once. I was thinking after the first two wickets, we may have to say,as usual, “Our batsmen didn’t bowl well, Our bowlers didn’t bat well and Our wicketkeeper didn’t field well..” But not this time, Hats off to you again.

@Nehra & Piyush… You played a big role in restricting SriLanka to below 300 today. Thanks for your help.

@Yuvraj… Fielding today was simply awesum.

@Murali… All this talk about “Wanting to win the Worldcup for Murali” & “Wanting to win the Worldcup for Sachin” got me a bit confused thinking at first, Wow..Two humble giants, who might deserve this more ? But all this was only until I came to know, that you were part of the World Cup winning team in 1996. And then I knew, this cup was Sachin’s and I know you will agree.

@Kirsten… I knew you were the coach. But I didnt know you have been the Coach for the past 3 Years ? Boy, and No Controversies ? No hogging the limelight? No drama in the media ? Thanks man. You must have done something right, and I know thats a big understatement.

@SriLanka… You have shown admirable consistency in reaching consecutive World Cup Finals.

@India… This World Cup performances were not about Individual brilliancies but about Team Work, which makes the victory all the more sweeter.

Endhiran – Behind the Camera

Sadly, I have not watched the movie thus far. But I did keep reading articles and hearing reports on how Shankar had proffered the role to many heroes including Kamalhassan, before finally settling with Rajinikanth. Working undercover, I just about managed to find the reasons, as to what had transpired and why exactly Shankar couldn’t work with the other heroes for this role.
